Centre Director & Transformation Catalyst

The Human Transformation Lab – Angel, London (UK)

Louise, also known by her spiritual name Rishikā, is an educationalist and transformation practitioner working at the intersection of consciousness studies, neuroscience, yogic science, and human development. She is a devoted disciple of His Holiness SamarthGuru, a Vedantic practitioner, educationalist, and humanitarian with over three decades of work dedicated to advancing integrated models of human potential through Samarthya Yog and cognitive sciences.

As Centre Director of The Human Transformation Lab, a pioneering Yoga and Brain Research Centre based in Angel, London, Louise leads research-informed and practice-based programmes exploring systematic approaches to human transformation. Her work is grounded in Samarthya Yog, a disciplined and experiential yogic system transmitted through the Guru–Śiṣya paramparā, integrating somatic regulation, breath science, attentional training, and awareness-based inquiry to support neurological balance, psychological resilience, and higher-order functioning.

Louise’s academic orientation focuses on re-envisioning education as a whole-human developmental process, moving beyond knowledge acquisition toward the cultivation of inner intelligence, emotional regulation, ethical discernment, and clarity of purpose. Drawing upon Vedantic psychology alongside contemporary neuroscience, cognitive science, and educational theory, her work seeks to articulate experience-based models of transformation that are both philosophically coherent and methodologically rigorous.

From a Vedantic perspective, transformation is understood not as self-enhancement, but as a return to one’s essential nature (svabhāva)—where responsibility, compassion, and conscious action arise naturally. Within this framework, education becomes a process of inner awakening rather than external conditioning, aligning personal development with social and ethical responsibility.

At The Human Transformation Lab, Louise leads inquiry and programme development in the following areas:

  • Yogic methodologies for brain optimisation and nervous system regulation
  • Consciousness, attention, and emotional intelligence
  • Human resilience, clarity, and ethical leadership
  • Educational frameworks for sustainable inner development

Louise’s vision is to establish a living laboratory of human possibility, where ancient contemplative sciences, modern research, and lived disciplined practice converge. Through this work, she supports individuals, educators, and institutions in realising the fullest expression of human potential—understood not as an abstract ideal, but as a practical, embodied, and socially responsible reality, awakened one individual at a time.
